Jermaine Goodman, currently the age of 23, began his musical career at the age of 4
years old. His aunt and father began teaching him to sing and play drums in his church
choir. By the time he was 12 years old, Jermaine began playing the trumpet in various
school concerts and bands. At the age of 16 however, Jermaine was taught to play the
piano by his father and his grandmother.

The piano was his favorite instrument and he began to play for several churches in his
community while he was still in high school. Jermaine’s aunt also taught him to direct the
choirs that he played for and that made him even more versatile and talented as a
musician. Jermaine's musical influences are great gospel and R/B
singer/musician/songwriters, such as Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, John Legend and
Stevie Wonder. At the age of 17, Jermaine wrote his first song and began to pursue his
career as a singer/musician/songwriter.

Jermaine graduated from Gates County High School in 2002 and he then went into the
United States Army Reserve. Jermaine attended Elizabeth City State University (Class of
2006), where he studied Sociology with an emphasis on Political Science. While at ECSU,
Jermaine sang in the ECSU gospel choir and was a pianist from 2003-2005. Also while at
ECSU,

Jermaine became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, played football and graduated as a 2nd
Lieutenant from their Army ROTC Program. Jermaine won numerous talent shows and
sang at various musical events. He gained a fan base at ECSU by selling his music to the
surrounding communities and neighboring universities all over North Carolina. Oddly
enough, his first job after graduating from ECSU was not in the music business. Jermaine
began serving his military obligation as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Stryker Calvary
Regiment in Vilseck, Germany.

It wasn’t long before Jermaine’s musical gift was recognized by the public. He won the
Military Idol Competition held in Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2006) and later went on to win
the Military Idol Competition held in Vilseck, Germany (2007). Also while in Germany,
Jermaine along with his colleagues
Kevin “Khule” Harris and Rilwan Ottun, started a talent
showcase called “Thirsty Thursday” for upcoming talent in the Vilseck/Graffenwhoer area.

Jermaine was often the headliner for this showcase. There is a word of mouth buzz about
Jermaine’s songs “I’m Gonna Getcha”, “Super Wonder Woman”, “Ta Da Da” and
“Things Happen For A Reason” to name a few. Jermaine’s fans are greatly anticipating
the debut of his new album. Awaiting his mass media push to come and fulfill his every
dream, one tends to wonder why he has not a contract nor label to give due his true talents
reparations.
